We have a talented culinary team that is dedicated to serve you. We have worked in various restaurants around the Twin Cities. We come from a wide variety of culinary backgrounds and are here to make your event a success.
Thao Moore – Chef / Co Proprietor
Thao was born in Vung Tau, Vietnam, but her formative years were spent here in Minnesota. She is a graduate from the University of Minnesota – Duluth. After spending years in the corporate world, she decided to pursue her passion for food and wine.
Thao has traveled extensively and has been fortunate to have experienced fabulous cuisines from around the world. She followed her passion for food and studied culinary arts at The Art Institutes International Minnesota.
Thao’s passion for food is closely followed by her love of wine. She studied wine at the Napa Valley Wine Academy in Napa, California and obtained her Certified Wine Professional designation at St. Paul College. Thao also honed her skills by shadowing Head Winemaker Ted Henry at Clos du Val (Napa Valley, CA) and Head Winemaker Charlie Tsegeletos at Cline Cellars and Jacuzzi Vineyards (Sonoma, CA)
Thao has experience working in the catering and restaurant industry. She worked at the Oceanaire Seafood Room and staged at acclaimed restaurant La Belle Vie. Thao and her team at Green Mangos Catering have catered to clients from around the world.
Thao cooks out of passion and hopes to share this passion with you in the food she creates and with the wine she pairs. Our company motto is simple: Eat well and dream big. That’s what we do and that’s what we believe.
Thomas Moore – Maître d' / Co Proprietor
There’s this interesting phenomenon between people and food. Simply stated, we often eat just to fill our stomach and satisfy our hunger. In the end, many of us forget that eating was intended to be an enjoyable experience and not just a necessity for survival.
Before meeting Thao, Tom lived based on this philosophy. However, her passion for cooking quickly taught him that he was missing out on a wonderful world of cuisine. Tom encouraged Thao to carry her passion into their vision of Green Mangos Catering.
Tom is a graduate from the University of Wisconsin and has over 21 years of experience in the corporate world. He brings an unparalleled passion to each event and strives to ensure he and his team provide only the best experience.
No matter the occasion, Tom’s goal is to have your event be a truly memorable experience. Our company was built on one dream with a lot of passion. We hope to share that passion with you.
At Green Mangos Catering, we believe in the importance of giving back to our community and helping those who are less fortunate.
