Thao Moore – Chef / Co Proprietor
Thao, originally from Vung Tau, Vietnam, was raised in Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota – Duluth. After a successful corporate career, she pursued her passion for food by studying culinary arts at The Art Institutes International Minnesota.Thao gained experience in the catering and restaurant industry, working at establishments like Oceanaire Seafood Room and staging at the former La Belle Vie.
Thao’s culinary journey led her and her husband Tom to co-found Green Mangos
Catering, a boutique catering company serving the Minneapolis/St. Paul Twin Cities metro area. As Executive Chef and Co-Proprietor, Thao is dedicated to delivering exceptional culinary experiences, embodying the company’s motto: “Eat well and dream big.”
In addition to her culinary expertise, Thao is passionate about wine. She holds a WSET Level 3 Wines Certification from the Napa Valley Wine Academy and has honed her knowledge by shadowing top winemakers in Napa and Sonoma, California. Thao has delivered wine-focused speaking engagements at both local and national levels.


Thomas Moore – Co Proprietor
Tom is a graduate from the University of Wisconsin and has over 24 years of experience in the Corporate world. He brings unparalleled passion and leadership to Green Mangos Catering and encourages our team to provide only the best experience.
Tom recognized early on Thao’s passion for food and wine. Tom encouraged Thao to carry her passion into their vision of Green Mangos Catering. No matter the occasion, Tom’s goal is to have your event be a truly memorable experience.
