Thao Moore – Executive Chef / Co-Proprietor
Thao Moore is the Executive Chef and Co-Proprietor of Green Mangos Catering, an upscale boutique catering company serving the Minneapolis–St. Paul area. With nearly two decades in the hospitality industry, Thao has built her career around creating memorable culinary experiences with exceptional service.
Originally from Vung Tau, Vietnam, and raised in Minnesota, Thao graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth before transitioning from a successful corporate career to pursue her passion for food. She studied culinary arts at The Art Institutes International Minnesota and gained experience in the restaurant industry at Oceanaire Seafood Room and through a stage at the acclaimed La Belle Vie.
Thao later co-founded Green Mangos Catering with her husband, Tom. Today, she leads the company’s culinary vision and guest experience, specializing in weddings, corporate events, and curated food and wine experiences throughout the Twin Cities.
Her passion for hospitality extends beyond the kitchen. Thao holds a WSET Level 3 Award in Wines through Napa Valley Wine Academy and speaks on wine, hospitality, and guest experiences. She brings together nearly two decades of hands-on hospitality experience with her culinary, wine, and business expertise as a wine educator and hospitality speaker, presenting to audiences locally and nationally
Thomas Moore – Co Proprietor
Tom is a graduate from the University of Wisconsin and has over 24 years of experience in the Corporate world. He brings unparalleled passion and leadership to Green Mangos Catering and encourages our team to provide only the best experience.
Tom recognized early on Thao’s passion for food and wine. Tom encouraged Thao to carry her passion into their vision of Green Mangos Catering. No matter the occasion, Tom’s goal is to have your event be a truly memorable experience.
